We have turned some of our unique, handcrafted designs into blankets so that you don’t have to use woven wraps in order to be a part of the Firespiral community!
The blankets are around 160cm x 190cm and ethically woven in our Lancashire mill using recycled cotton for sustainable production. After weaving, each blanket is then ‘brushed’ to create a soft, fluffy feel. They are fully reversible with a blanket stitched edge. Not only are they machine washable on a 30-degree c wash, they can also be tumble dried, meaning that you can take them out and about with you, or let the children do their best/worst with them and not worry about spills and stains!
We use ours as picnic blankets and bed covers, our children make dens out of them during the day, then we snuggle up under them on the settee at night. They cover up an old armchair that has seen better days and are great for taking camping. They have a reassuringly old-fashioned, heavy drape to them, comparable to the blankets that I inherited from my grandparents, and will become heirlooms in their own right, embedding themselves into your little one’s childhood memories!
They retail at £90 including UK postage (£95 inc worldwide postage) and each colour/design is only woven in limited quantities, making them all fairly unique!
We also offer ‘semi-custom’ blanket weaving, where you can choose your favourite design and select from over 60 colours (which in turn can be blended to create many more shades) to create your perfect blanket! There is nothing extra to pay and only a 20 blanket order minimum. We ask for a £20 non-refundable deposit per blanket, with the balance to pay once they are woven and ready. Write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to design your own blanket!
We’ve got 5 blankets to give away completely free to a good cause, 3 sold out design that are second quality and two first quality that are still in stock. Do you know a group, club, charity, good cause that could make use of a large recycled cotton, washable blanket? Let us know on our Facebook post who you think should receive one and why (you can link their details in your post to give us more information) and we’ll choose 5 of the entries to receive a blanket. It could be that they’d have a practical use for it, or that it could be donated as part of a fundraising effort (raffle etc).
