October Newsletter

Welcome to our October Newsletter!

Behind the Scenes:

At the moment we are busily getting ready for our Winter Wovenland event, which is just a month away! Last year’s event was such good fun that we decided pretty much straight away to do it again this year, but to listen to the feedback we received from those who came and to make it even better. So a quick rundown of the details for you:
It is taking place on Saturday 4th November, from 12 pm – 4 pm, at Ziferblat Media City, Salford (UK).
We have invited some other great businesses to join us, and there will be exclusive items for sale, fantastic discounts, workshops, the chance to chat with us all, first looks at up-and-coming wraps and unlimited refreshments all included in the ticket price! Ziferblat Media City is within easy walking distance of some great budget hotels and has a large car park right next door too, making it super-easy for you to get to even if you’re not local.
To find out more keep an eye on our Facebook page –  we will be making a full announcement and putting tickets up for sale very soon.

October Releases:
October 28th will be the release of sister wraps Cloudburst Cascade Seafoam and Cloudburst Cascade Winter Hill. Both are 59% cotton, 33% linen 8% viscose giving them a wonderful mix of support and strength which make them a perfect choice for newborns and toddlers alike.
Coming Next Month:
We are very excited to be releasing SETI Cascade Harvest and Sentinel Cascade Harvest at Winter Wovenland on the 4th November. This will be our only November release. We are on the loom as we speak with some amazing cloth for the winter months (2 new warp colourways!), which will hopefully be ready to have a play with at Winter Wovenland, and released from December 2017.

NEWSLETTER GIVEAWAY!
We are really enjoying seeing all of your fabulous newsletter photos! Thank you for sharing them with us. This months newsletter winner is Laura Bessant with this lovely reminder of how nice the summer actually was!In Great British style, the summer has certainly ended in an incredibly abrupt way. Whilst it is sad that the summer has gone, autumn is my favourite month and I adore thick wraps so lets celebrate October by sharing photos of our favourite heavier firespiral this month.
Tag your photos with #fispioctober to be in with a chance of winning next month’s newsletter giveaway!
Wrap Maintenance:
No matter what time of year it is, wraps are used and enjoyed in an array of locations. Be it the woods, the beach or just a walk around town, sometimes accidents happen and we want you to be confident in your ability to maintain your own wraps. Pulls happen, they are nothing to be worried about or thrown by. Take a look at our tutorial on how to fix a long pull in a warp thread and enjoy your wraps everywhere without fear of damaging them; they’re stronger than they seem! If you want to have a practice session with pull fixing, why not pick up one of our 30cm wrap scrap squares from our online shop to hone your skills with, or come along to our pull fixing workshop at Winter Wovenland!
The #Ispyfispi Gallery is Growing…

This month the winner is Kate Larson-Daw with her wonderful photo of Red Earth Glasto Festival taken by her husband Matt Larsen-Daw.
