Woven Wrap Sizing

Wrap sizes don’t work in the same way as clothing.

Size numbers refer to the length of the woven wrap- the larger the number, the longer the wrap.

Each size is 50cm (20”) longer than the previous size.

SIZE 1 = 2.2M (7’2”)
SIZE 2 = 2.7M (8’8”)
SIZE 3 = 3.2M (10’ 8”)
SIZE 4 = 3.7M (12’)
SIZE 5 = 4.2M (13’8)
SIZE 6 = 4.7M (15’4”)
SIZE 7 = 5.2M (17’)
SIZE 8 = 5.7M (18’7”)
SIZE 9 = 6.2M (20’3”)

Each length offers different options for tying, so there isn’t a single size that will ‘fit you.

Your body size will determine how big a wrap you need for tying each specific carry. For example, the Front Wrap Cross Carry is a popular starter carry. Some people will be able to use a size 6 for this carry, but others may need a longer (or shorter) wrap depending on their body and baby size.

This wrap is so soft and floppy. It’s like wearing a warm blanket. It has great support for bigger kids and it makes both a great shorty and base size wrap (I may love it so much I have both).

Firecrest Mercury Microcosm has quickly become one of my favourite Fispis! We have a size 4 (base -2) and it’s perfect. This wrap is absolutely gorgeous – the golden orange glows in sunlight and the microcosm design is really cool visually and shows off the contrast between the warp and weft. This is one of the heavyweight wool Fispis, meaning it will make your baby weightless and be comfortable for long periods even in single layer carries. That being said, it’s mouldable and easy to wrap with. It’s a perfect example of all the things I love about Fispi wool.

I really like 50% wool wrap and this is not an exception!
It’s not itchy at all and very good for aching shoulder.
It’s good for big kids but great with under 1year old baby too.
The colours are my favorite point of this wrap. Just amazing.

Firecrest Mercury Microcosm is a lovely wrap. I have a size 4 (base -2) that I’ve been using since the spring with my now 2 year old. Firespiral wool is the BEST wool that I’ve tried in my wrapping, & I’ve tried a lot.
The pairing of the mustardy/orange/gold wool with the grey/green cotton is a superb color combination. It’s a neutral that pairs with so much.

Got this as a shortie, it’s beautiful and really looks great, especially in the sunshine! Really supportive and cosy!

This is the first woolly wrap I’ve tried and I fell in love with it (I had it for a holiday and ended up buying it because I couldn’t bear to send it back!) I love the design and the colours but most of all I’m impressed by the comfort and support it gives – I carried my toddler for 7km, my feet ached from the walk but my back and shoulders were fine. I also like wearing this as an extra layer when I’m not carrying my daughter, it’s cosy but breathable and makes me feel fabulous!

  7. bonnietheclyde

This is such an incredibly fluffy and comfortable hug of a wrap! I absolutely love it and the weft colors scream autumnal vibes that make me want to sit in a window with a hot drink and watch the world go by. Soft and beautiful, comfortable for all ages, especially great at making big kids weightless!
