Angela from All Wrapped Up has written a great review of Petrichor and its wrapping qualities. Here is an excerpt to give you a taste…

The hidden warp (Twilight) is a beautiful blue cotton and both weft faces are 100% wool, giving a final blend composition of 59% cotton and 41% wool. The wool used is quite fine and uses a combination of 5 different grey, brown and tan threads to create the Winter Hill design. Although the blue warp is tucked away between the two wefts it does peek through in parts of the design and also gives an electric blue iridescent effect through the brown as the wrap moves.

Our limited-edition cloth is woven in England from ethically sourced yarns.

This wrap has quickly become my favorite in my collection. Combining wool with synergy weave is brilliant, as it’s the best of both worlds! I even use it in the heat and it’s been great! It takes a bit of breaking in but it still feels good to wrap with after the first wash. There is some stretch (thanks to the wool) without being saggy, and it’s strong enough to carry my big kids. I love how the twilight warp is hidden between the two wefts, so that the colors almost change depending upon how you look at it. The winter hill design is one of my favorites, as well.

This wrap gets better and better with every use. A little bit of prickle even after 3 washes, but after every wrap job it softens even more. It has this beautiful fine fuzzy softness to it, different from the kitten belly alchemy softness but lovely in its own right. The hidden blue threads create this very pretty iridescent chameleon colour shift. It is a beautiful neutral with plenty of understated beauty. Wrapping qualities are nicely balanced, good amount of bounce and recoil but also incredibly sturdy and supportive. Easy to spread passes and tighten a chest pass, it all just slides into place! And plenty of dense memory foam cush. Very pleased with this one! 🙂

This beautiful wrap was an instant hit in our household. I love the wool even though it does have a bit of a prickly feel (it’s been only two weeks). Dense synergy weave make it less pull prone which makes me more relaxed about useing the full potential of this beautiful looking fabric. It has already been used as a hammock to help with the breaking in and as a blanket. It is strong enough to carry a very heavy almost three year old in a Rucksack carry with ease but also hugs and warms a small baby nicely. It doesn’t wrap short and the knot is not big at all. Winter hill design really pops out in these colors. They are neutral but somehow everchanging.

A lovely wrap! Not as blankety as the 50% wool alchemy wraps I’ve tried (Greystoke Glasto Birch Trees and Calluna Moorland Birch Trees) or Tarn Moorland Star Map (elements weave and also 50% wool). It’s lighter and less thick than the aforementioned wraps, while not being thin in hand either.
After the recommended three back-to-back washes and some use, it gets that fluffy wool feel. You can feel it’s wool but I don’t find it prickly.
I find it easier to tighten compared to the more blankety woollies, and not quite as cushy or bulky. It’s definitely not diggy either though. Just the right amount of stretch and bounce for my taste. It moves with your wrappee and you, but it doesn’t sag.
It’s perfect for my toddler (10- 11 kilos, almost 2). As I don’t have a squish to try it out with, I can’t say if it would be suitable for that.
The colours are lovely and they really change with the light: I can see brown, grey, indigo blue, and a purple-ish blue, and especially in sunlight the fabric has a special kind of irridescence to it.
I wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful wrap.
