Whinlatter is a beast at first, and yes, probably still a beast, but a lovely beast. It is heavy in hand, but not at all hard to wrap with. It has a lot of grip which makes the wrap very forgiving, but I don’t think it is hard to wrap with when using double layers either. It has some glide probably because of the pattern, which helps it glide into place pretty easy.  The cotton gives the wrap some stretch which gives some nice hugs, but the linen makes it steady and it doesn’t really have any significant bounce.  It is, as I mentioned, a thick wrap and the knot gets nice and big. Normally my shoulders don’t like linen that much but this wrap is couchy and the weave somehow makes it work, and they didn’t scream for help once (!) I have it as a base, but I have even used it for a simple ruck as well and it is a really great toddler wrap, both as a shorty and as a base.”

We love our new Whinlatter, the different colours are nothing less than amazing and make the wrap shine like copper! Besides being a beauty, it wraps easily, lovely balance between grip and glide, very thick in hand makes a big knot, wouldn’t think it suited for a new wrapee, but amazing for bigger babies..

Whinlatter is very loved here with my toddler and we have worn it many hours already. It is stunningly beautiful with a shimmering warm glow and is also extremely comfortable to wrap with. It does take a little breaking in initially, but it was easy with a wash/iron and simply wearing as we go about our day. It softens very nicely and feels thick in hand, but is not unruly or difficult to tighten. I’ve found it to be forgiving of sloppy wrap jobs. Passes and knots do not budge. I’ve struggled with linen blends before I found Firespiral, but this one is wonderful. I do not find this wrap diggy in the slightest and actually feels quite lovely on my picky shoulders. We look forward to wrapping our babies with this beauty for years to come.

I bought Whinlatter as a scarf and it is absolutely gorgeous. I love how the linen shimmers in the sunlight and the colors are autumnal perfection.
