The other side of the new curves of pursuit weave- this is the lilac side of the warp, and it looks completely different to the blood moon side, even though they share a common weft. This is a first look at our two new warps being wo

This is a first look at our two new warps being wound on the beam ready for weaving! As wrap cloth is woven double width, we've made one side red and the other a pinky lilac, so that when the cloth is split down the middle we'll be able to make two different coloured wraps (which share a design and weft colour)
The red side is inspired by the blood moon, and the lilac side has the working name of 'pink moon' after the wonderful Nick Drake album...

I have done this so many times over the past 10 years that I think I could tie a fwcc in my sleep! Some people love to experiment and learn new carries, but I've always preferred to find a few that I like, then perfect them for maximum comfort. Wrap: Luna Twilight Festival
Carry : basic rucksack with an extra waist pass as it was too long!

My favourite way to get my children on my back was to 'santa toss' them up there. With this method, much of the tightening and seat preparation is done before hand (either with them laying on the wrap or sitting on it as they grew older), so that you need make only minimal adjustments once they're on your back.
They are secured tightly in the wrap as they move over your shoulder onto your back, and this, plus the reduced time spent fiddling round behind you back trying to get the wrap right helps keep them feeling settled. The movement over your shoulder is smooth, gentle and guided.
